Rosa's murder left 3 Children without their Mother in their lives
Rosa was allegedly shot to death by her ex-boyfriend, Antonio Barbosa. He then turned the gun on himself on a street that witnesses said was teeming with children; he died from the injury on August 16.
In November, Andrade had taken out restraining orders against Barbosa, who was also the father of her 4-year old son. The restraining order lapsed when she did not appear in court.
Andrade came to the United States from Cape Verde in 1990. She had two other children, ages 8 and 12, who were living with their father.
