Ojulu Agwa Omot said he sent his wife to the car to retrieve something so he could kill the children while she was gone.

He said he had planned for a week to kill them. He then slammed his infant son, Jowoknut’s head into a coffee table and then stabbed his 3-year-old daughter, Muy Ojulu, killing them both.

When his wife returned her children were lying in pools of blood in the living room and she began screaming hysterically. Omot had already called 911, but now fled and crashed his car in a suicide attempt.

Omot has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder.
