Lisa's murder has left her 2 infant children to grow up without their Mother in their lives

Paul M. Beam, the father of one of Berrie's children, faces a murder charge. Lisa was found murdered in the bathroom of their home after Beam's parents learned of a domestic disturbance and went to check on them.

Beam barricaded himself into the apartment when police arrived. He has a history of violent behavior, and Lisa suffered extensive head injuries in addition to death by strangulation.

Her family reports that she appeared to be attempting to leave Beam when the murder occurred.
