Jennette was shot to death when she returned to her home to retrieve some belongings. Her 17-year old son, Michael, also was killed, and a family friend, Rod Grosse, was injured.

Police say Janette was accompanied by her son and friend when they ran into her husband, Jerome Markley, who was waiting with two handguns.

Jerome later took his own life.
