A 61-year-old man was fatally shot by his 36-year-old male roommate in the victim’s Delaware Township residence. The perpetrator then stole the man’s shotgun and vehicle, which he drove to his estranged wife’s Montgomery home. 

At the woman’s residence, he attempted to shoot her 14year-old son before holding authorities at a standoff for several hours. Police used tear gas to enter the residence but not before the perpetrator shot and killed his 34-year-old estranged wife and committed suicide.

The woman had obtained a Protection from Abuse order against the perpetrator, the female victim’s estranged husband, which he allegedly violated a few weeks earlier.
