Ava's body was discovered by a jogger near a river access road. She died from an unknown number of gunshot wounds, including at least one wound to her neck that authorities believe was the fatal shot.

Ava's boyfriend, Lee Charles Draughn, 45, was arrested and booked on probable cause murder.
