Police found the family dead of gunshot wounds after a family member visited the home and discovered the bodies.

Stephanie and Mario Morales, Sr., were married, but had separated and were living apart. Dario was their son.

The investigation showed that Mario shot his son and estranged wife before turning the gun on himself.
