A niece of Tammy's had been unable to contact her Aunt Tammy for several days, and went to the house to check on her. She thought she saw two bodies on the floor and called police.

When they arrived, they found the couple dead. Saldana had been shot multiple times while Vincent Sullivan, 53, died of a single gunshot wound.
