Tammy's murder has left her infant child to grow up without their Mother in their life
Officers responded to a call regarding a shooting and found a 35-year old woman dead. Her husband, Alger Frederick Hellard, 42, was immediately taken into custody and has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, and endangerment.
A 23-month old child was in the home at the time and was taken into CPS custody.
Alger reported that the two argued when Tammy told him she planned to leave him and began packing. He stood behind her, and when she reached for a jewelry box, he picked up the gun sitting next to it. He maintains that the shooting resulted during a "scuffle" and was an accident.
