Robin was shot to death by her former boyfriend, Walter E. Lassa, 54.

He pled guilty to first-degree intentional homicide and was sentenced to life in prison.

The homicide occurred as Robin was leaving work and was witnessed by her coworkers. She had ended their two-year relationship two months prior to the homicide and had told family members that she was afraid of him.

Walter Lassa fled the scene and was at large for approximately one hour before being apprehended.
