Kaitlynn was allegedly killed by her father Kristopher Griffin, 35.

Mr. Griffin had a long history of mental illness and told police officers that God told him to kill his daughter.

Kaitlynn’s mother, Deborah Mons had recently broken up with Mr. Griffin and planned to move to Florida with her daughter.

Griffin has been charged with her murder and home invasion for breaking into the girl’s home and slitting her throat with a knife. He pled not guilty and was ordered held for a mental evaluation.
