Jeanie's murder has left her Daughter to continue on without her Mother in her life

Police in Springville, Utah investigated a murder suicide on the morning of June 16. The night before at 9:45 p.m., family members had called the police department with concerns that they had not seen or heard from their mother.

When officers arrived at the home, they found cars in the driveway, however, were unable to make contact with anyone inside the home. Officers entered the property through an open window and found a dead couple, Jeanie and Brian Scott Sebastian, 46, in the bedroom; each with a bullet to the head. The gun was found next to Sebastian. A bag packed with Jeanie’s clothes was found nearby. It appeared that Jeanie was planning to leave.

A month earlier, on May 22, 2009, a neighbor called the police to report a domestic disturbance after finding Jeanie whimpering and injured outside her door. Sebastian had punched her in the face during a fight after she had brought home a new baby rabbit.

According to Jeanie’s daughter, the couple met online about two years before and moved in together shortly after.
