Theresa's boyfriend, Gregory A. Gubernot, 44, was charged with strangling and beating her to death. He committed suicide in jail in June 2010 on the day before his trial was to begin.

Theresa Still’s body was discovered in another county by a hunter.

In the days prior to the homicide, she had told a co-worker that he had become increasingly violent with her.

Gregory Gubernot was charged several days after the homicide and was at large until apprehended in northern Wisconsin.
