Katelyn died from acute heroin intoxication, with a “ligature placement” (i.e., strangulation-type marks) noted as a “significant condition” by the medical examiner.

Her boyfriend, Adam R. Koch, 23, pled guilty to a charge of first-degree reckless homicide by delivery of drugs and was sentenced to nine years in prison and nine years of extended supervision.
