Jose was stabbed to death by Julio Mariscal, 40.

Jose and others were at Mariscal’s home drinking and socializing. Jose asked Mariscal’s wife to toast and Mariscal objected angrily. He began to call his wife horrible names and threw a beer bottle at her.

Jose objected to this kind of behavior and got into an altercation with Mariscal. They went outside to fight and Mariscal grabbed a knife. Mariscal stabbed Jose in the chest.

Mariscal is being held without bail on the charge of murder.
