Megan was strangled and killed. Authorities found Megan dead in a 3’x 3’ cubbyhole in her home.

Megan’s estranged boyfriend, Corey Dean Thomas, who has a history of domestic violence against another woman, has been arrested in Miami as a “person of interest” in the death of Megan.

Update: April 2, 2012

DNA taken from Megan’s fingernails eliminated 99.97 percent of the general population of the murder charge; but not Thomas. He is now facing second-degree murder charges.

Thomas has a history of domestic violence with three prior assault convictions.
