Steven Dolittle UT 11-26-2009

Steven J. Dolittle, 41

UT, West Valley City

November 26, 2009

On Thanksgiving Day Steven was stabbed multiple times in the upper torso by his former girlfriend’s boyfriend, Justin Jay Guyman, 28. Steven had dated Cherie, 27, who lived across the street from him. He and Guymon would get into confrontations whenever Guymon would visit or stopped by to pick Cherie up at her home.

Sometime before noon Guyman went to Steven’s home, and later that afternoon Steven crossed the street to Cheri’s residence to confront Guyman. A fight broke out between the two men. Guyman stabbed Steven several times on his side and back. He was pronounced dead after being transported to Pioneer Valley Hospital. The murder weapon was never found.

Guyman has been charged with three felonies; first-degree murder, second-degree obstructing justice, and third-degree possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person.

We at Le Chrysalis are attempted to gain as much knowledge about every Victim of Intimate Partner Violence (Domestic Violence) as possible so that we can share their stories and keep their Lives Alive through their Stories. We know that by learning what they went through and who they were we can help protect future victims from going through the same fate. Their Hobbies; their Jobs; their Likes and Dislikes; their Stories; their Pictures!…the more that is shared, the more we can Remember!

Please share any information you may have about a Victim! Let's not only Cherish the Names, Stories and Lives of those that have lost their fight to Intimate Partner Violence (Domestic Violence), but take what they went through and take something positive out of it! We understand the pain, there are 3 on this list that are our Family members… Just know, that Together we Can and WILL make a difference!
