Caitlin was fatally shot in the neck by her live-boyfriend, Jeffrey Maldonado.

Police had been called previously to the apartment in November to investigate reports of gunshots. A history of abuse in the relationship was reported by family, friends and law enforcement.

Maldonado plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

This remembrance is being added as a correction to the spelling of Caitlin’s name from her prior page which is being left due to the extensive amount of linkage by family and friends.  Our Prayers and Remembrance remain!
