Elizabeth's murder has left her 2 Daughters without their Mother in their lives after having lived through almost being murdered themselves by their Mother’s ex-boyfriend

Elizabeth was shot and killed in her home by her ex-boyfriend, Robert McDermott, 39, who later killed himself on the railroad tracks in Walpole. McDermott also attempted to kill Cann’s two daughters, age 12 and 15. Both children survived.

Cann had taken out a restraining order against McDermott two years ago, but it had expired.
