Nancy M. Bradley, 39
IN, Jackson
February 22, 2009
Nancy’s murder has left her 16yr old Son to grow up without his Mother in his life
Nancy was shot by her husband, Byron Bradley, who then shot himself and made cut marks on himself in an apparent suicide attempt. He was taken to a hospital for an abdominal wound; his condition is unknown. Byron was treated for his injuries in Indianapolis.
Authorities said Nancy’s 16-year-old son was home at the time but was not injured. He and others who knew the Bradleys said there had been some squabbling between the couple recently and reported recent history of abuse in the relationship, but police had not been to the home, Lahrman said.
Bradley faced a murder charge as well as charges of criminal confinement and pointing a handgun in connection with the slaying of his wife Nancy, in an apparent murder-suicide attempt at their home near Dudleytown on Jan. 22.
Bradley plead guilty to the murder of his wife. The charge carries what’s called an advisory sentence of 55 years imprisonment with a range of 45 years to 65 years, depending upon mitigating and aggravating circumstances in an individual case.
No new trial information as of February 2013.
