Ruth's murder has left her 4yr old Son to grow up without his Mother in his life

Hernan Mendieta, 35, kidnapped his wife Ruth, after she dropped off their four year-old son at daycare.

Mendieta shot and killed Ruth as she drove and her car hit a tree. He shot at an innocent bystander that was trying to assist Ruth. Mendieta then fled.

Police apprehended him that day and he admitted to shooting Ruth.

Mendieta has been sentenced to 60 years in prison for murder and 20 years for aggravated assault.
