Miguel's murder left 2 young Sons without a Father in their lives
Sheriff’s deputies were called to a Monticello home for a report of a person with a knife wound who was not breathing. When they arrived, they found Miguel on the floor of his bedroom. His wife, Monica Aranda, 35, was on her knees by her husband’s body. Miguel was pronounced dead by paramedics.
Aranda was charged with first-degree manslaughter in her husband’s death.
According to the criminal complaint, Aranda told authorities her husband had been having an affair with another woman. She stated that the two had argued about her husband’s girlfriend. When Miguel told his wife he was leaving, she went into the couple’s bedroom with a kitchen knife and after the two struggled, he was stabbed.
