A Female Victim was shot and killed - in the parking lot outside the Lancaster fitness center she co-owned - by her 41-year-old ex-boyfriend.  He also fatally strangled his 13-year-old son in his East Cocalico Township home before fleeing to a cabin near Altoona (Blair County), where he committed suicide.

The ex-girlfriend had obtained a Protection from Abuse Order against the perpetrator in mid-January.  He surrendered eight fire arms at that time but reportedly owned more than 20.
