A Female Victim was fatally shot by her 63-year-old estranged husband in his home.  He also fatally shot his 18-year-old daughter and her 24-year-old boyfriend before committing suicide.

The three victims arrived at the perpetrator's house to move the daughter's belongings.  She had been living with her father while her mother was in the process of relocating after leaving him.  The perpetrator had a history of violence toward his family.  The threatened to kill them on many occasions and had attempted suicide.

Prior to the homicides, the perpetrator's son from a previous marriage had his father committed to a psychiatric hospital and had his guns removed from his possession.  The perpetrator was released from the hospital three days later.

The day of the murders, the son made a phone call to his father's wife to warn her that his father regained possession of his guns.
