Erin's death has left her 20mo old Daughter and 4yr old Son to grow up without their Mother as orphans
Erin was found shot to death on the front porch of her home. Her estranged husband, Sgt. William McKinley Edwards, 24, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a parking lot across the street from the home.
Police report William killed Erin and then himself.
According to court records, the couple had a history of domestic violence. A judge had issued an emergency protective order the month before Erin was killed, as well as a two-year protective order one week prior to her death.
