The three week old Isabella was taken to the hospital by her mother, who noticed a large bruise. The infant was unresponsive and suffered from irreversible brain damage, swelling, and bleeding from multiple blows to the head. Isabella also had bruising suggesting sexual abuse.
Isabella’s father, Brian Mark Hopf, has a history of domestic violence against his girlfriend, the baby's mother.
The baby died one week after the attack.
