Abigail was shot and killed by her former boyfriend, Aaron Parson. Abigail was killed by a gunshot wound to the neck while she was in the break room at Festival Foods with Michael M. Habte, another employee at the store who had recently started dating Abigail.
Aaron, also an employee at Festival Foods and someone who Abigail had previously dated, came into the break room and shot both Abigail and Michael. Abigail had broken up with Aaron about three months earlier.
Abigail died at the scene and Michael died later during surgery. Aaron Parson fled the store. When officers approached him, he shot and killed himself.
