Brian was beaten to death by his date’s ex-boyfriend, Christopher Toppi, 28.
Police responded to Salem Street in Medford for reports of an unresponsive male. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Toppi turned himself in after a warrant for his arrest was issued.
On October 5, 2011, Toppi pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15-18 years in state prison.
