Michelle was stabbed by her partner, Connie Bumgardner, in the course of an argument.
Bumgardner allegedly then made an unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide by overdosing on a drug.
Bumgardner was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 36 years in prison.
