Nina was strangled by her ex-husband, Robert Petty, after she refused to tell him whom she had been talking to on the phone after they attended a concert together.
After Nina died, Petty drove her to the remote rural location in Clark Co. and went back later to remove and burn her clothing.
Nina was reported missing; after 3 weeks, Petty told police about the crime and led them to Nina's body.
Petty was convicted of voluntary manslaughter, removal of a body and obstructing justice; Petty was sentenced as an habitual felon in April 2013.
